The US-Russian Social Expertise Exchange project in combating gender-based violence invites participants

The US-Russia Social Expertise Exchange project on preventing and addressing gender-based violence, “Knowledge Can Stop Gender-Based Violence: Seeking New Solutions,” will be implemented between July and September 2017. The goal of the project is to provide and reinforce support to people and organizations working to put an end to gender-based in the US and Russia by empowering experts and volunteers of organizations with important insights and international perspectives.

The project includes the following events:

  • exchange of best practices between experts working in the field,
  • webinars,
  • seminars,
  • free consultations at resource (information) service center in Samara, Russia,
  • distribution of information materials (handbooks, hangouts, electronic materials).

Project-related events will take place in Samara (Russia), Seattle, WA (US), and Portland, OR (US).

The project invites experts for participation and partnership:

  • Professionals and experts from organizations working in the area of gender-based violence, and whose target audience includes people experiencing gender-based violence,
  • Volunteers from such organizations,
  • People interested in increasing awareness of gender-based violence challenges. (Only some forms of project activities are available for this audience).

The project space is limited. Please submit your applications (including full name, address, place of work, and position) by September 1, 2017.
